Science Parties for Kids!

Why do so many people choose our science parties?

We have run 1000’s of science parties since 2004!
We’re qualified, we’re experienced and we have the specialist science equipment that’s best for kid’s parties… and the kids get to use the materials themselves with full guidance.Importantly, we treat your booking seriously and are contactable throughout the lead up for any queries you might have.Real science + the best experiments for kids = Real Fun!If you want us to perform a specific science experiment just let us know and we can arrange it for you. Interactive hands on science parties are so much fun when your children get to be the scientists!

Party Types

Hands-on science party

The basic party program runs for 1 hour, however we can run science experiments for up to 90 minutes depending if you wish to add a cool liquid nitrogen show with ice-cream making to the party.

Content

We bring over 20 hands-on party experiments to every science party!
Your home becomes a science lab with gigantic bubbles, gooey slime, cool science demo’s and awesome hands on experiments that they can use themselves. We even bring a vortex smoke ring generator that shoots vortex rings of fog across your yard!

There’s so much to do:

  • Make gigantic bubbles, make gooey slime and expand a mega Hoberman sphere
  • See how a chair of nails works and observe colour changing reactions
  • Identify x-rays, shoot vortex fog rings and warp your mind with illusions
  • Launch film canister rockets and hear a thunder drum and elephant tube roar
  • Float images in mid-air, spin gyroscopes and work out our ‘magic’ boxes
  • Create strange vibrations, fill a 7ft bag in one breath and pop our dropper poppers
  • Learn about kinetic energy with chatter rings, hopping frogs and mini-tornadoes
  • Find out about balance, use magnetic rail spinners and handle magnifiers

Gross science party

The basic gross science party program runs for 1 hour, however we can run science experiments for up to 90 minutes depending if you wish to add a cool liquid nitrogen show to the party.
What do they get to do?

  • Make a vomit bomb! The kids love this, plus we’ll chat about bile and its uses!
  • Create disgusting fake snot! The kids get to keep this slimy mucus!
  • Eat fizzy dandruff! It looks like dandruff, but takes like sherbet!
  • Popping zits! Gross, really gross… but we get to talk about infections!
  • Cover yourself in fake blood! Best done at the end of the party for obvious reasons!
  • There is also an option liquid nitrogen ice-cream!
  • We can run dry ice experiments as an option too!
  • Includes access to free science experiments emailed every month!

The point of this party is to engage kids in science in a fun way.
The kids will have a ball whilst learning about the yucky side of the human condition!

***A lot of food colouring is used in this party.***
Check that guests are not allergic to food colouring and that they will wear old clothes!

Lego Robotics Party

The robotics party program runs for 90 minutes.

What do they get to do?

It’s all about having fun and tailoring the party to suit what the kids can do.
Specific challenges that could be posed (based on ability and interest):

  • Lego robot bowling
  • Use motors to accelerate, brake, reverse in the correct sequence
  • Vary motor power to perform a point and curve turn
  • Use loop based programming to drive the robot in a square
  • Clear a table of light obstacles using a basic programming sequence.
  • program the robot to stop on the sound of a loud hand clap.
  • Use a light sensor to detect light levels in the room.
  • Use logic based programming to make the robot follow a black line.
  • Use a touch sensor or ultrasonic sensor to detect a solid wall
  • Program the robot to react to differing light levels in the room.
  • Determine the correct force required to score an ice hockey goal
  • Negotiate a maze of solid objects…..and more (it’s only limited by time and imagination!)

The point of this party is to engage kids into computing in a fun way.
The kids will have a ball whilst learning about how to control a robot they can relate to in real time.!

Includes access to free science experiments emailed every month!

Liquid Nitrogen Show

Fantastic science demonstrations rarely seen in class performed by our experienced science communicators. Have a real scientist at your science party! Science demonstrations at your party include:

  • Popping cans and liquid nitrogen sprinklers.
  • Explore gas expansion and balloon contraction, plus freeze plant material.
  • Hammer in nails with a banana or blue tack!
  • Frozen bubbles and cryogenic elephant’s toothpaste!
  • Laser light beam through condensation clouds (venue dependent).
  • Eat instant liquid nitrogen ice-cream plus more!

For ages 7 years and up. Includes access to free science experiments emailed every month!

Designed from experience

Why can we do these science experiments? Our presenters aren’t your average party hosts!
Our parties have been designed by experienced science teachers and communicators to make sure that the balance is right; cool experiments that they don’t normally see at school and all the fun stuff that you would see at a science toy store!

Plus we’ve run 1000’s of science parties since 2004 so all experiments have been completely tried and tested. With all the great feedback we’ve had, you’re child is sure to have a blast!

Space Science Party

Science Party Duration

The basic party program runs for 1 hour, however we can run science experiments for up to 90 minutes depending if you wish to add a cool liquid nitrogen show to the party.

Content

There’s a lot to keep them busy! The activities chosen by our presenter will be selected based on your average age attending, the number of children and the actual site of the party itself.

Alien slime! – Gooey, gooey, gooey stuff!

Caught in the Shadow – Model the difference between solar and lunar eclipses.

Celestial cross-sections – How are stars and planets constructed differently?

Super Slime Party

What do they get to do?

Depending on the audience age and the location, your kids will get a chance to participate in making a variety of different slimes in a fun atmosphere. The kids will each be able to make three slimes to take home, with additional slimes being demonstrated by the presenter as time permits which can include…

  • Glowing slime… seriously, this gooey slime really shines!
  • Fluffy glitter slime… sparkly, stretchy and highly addictive
  • Super polymer slime… the real deal found in science kits & shows

  • There is also an option liquid nitrogen ice-cream!
  • Includes access to free science experiments emailed every month.

The point of this party is to engage kids in science in a fun way.
The kids will have a ball making a variety of slimes whilst learning why slimes are actually incredibly important in our world (they really are!).

***A lot of food colouring is used in this party.***
